While in the hosp. I could only eat lemon jello, ice chips and go home day a red popcycle, they brought me a green one and I gagged so they brought me a red one and it was delish, the lemon jello was the best I ever had. LOL

 We don't believe it until we experience it ourselves -- you won't be hungry and you won't be able to each much at first!   My first food was cottage cheese -- I counted jello as "liquid" diet item.

I think that will be mine also when I move into mushy/puree.   My mother in law makes an awesome homemade version but its sorta chunky so I am going to re-blend.  I can't wait.  I also have several cans in the pantry calling my name.

When you have your refried bean a 1/4 will fill you.  I add cheese and sour cream to mine and OMG it is the best food ever on the mushy stage.

Oh man that sounds good! Did you use fat free refried beans or the regular? I hope it can be regular! But even fat free sounds good right now, with cheese. YUMMY!

you know what was weird? my paper said not to use fat free but to use vegitarian...

 When I finally got off liquids and moved to baby food, it was either yogurt or cottage cheese, and those pretty much alternated every day for the next two weeks.  Now I'm on to scrambled eggs and fish!  Good luck to you!

I can have jello now (full liquids) but not really into it.  I have gotten by on broth, liquid soup (like strained miso), protein shakes, etc.

My first food is gonna be either refried beans or some greek yogurt.
