Accountability thread exercise 1/20/12
I think I must go to bed much earlier then ya'll! I never seem to be able to wait long enough for a post to be done. Elina, truly I am not trying to hijack your awesome idea here!! I have to say since I joined I am doing a better job with the exercise. Funny how posting to a group of like-minded strangers can be so helpful:)
Elipitical 65 minutes. Happily, not tired when I was done- had to quit because I lost the feeling in my feet. Still waiting on the hernia to finish healing and I will bump up the intensity level once I can take deeper breaths without repercussions :) I actually enjoyed exercising today- that hasn't happend in decades!

Love this thread:
30 minutes on treadmill with no incline. 15 minutes at 2.2 , ten minutes at 2.5, and 5 minutes at 3.0
1 hour of upper body weights at 4 sets and 14 repetitions.
I felt awesome afterwards! I love working out and then come home and my hubby is all hot and bothered for the kids to take a nap so we can "nap". Life is definitely getting better.

Sweet and wonderful Happyteacher, please. please hear me, I love that you post this thread when I can't do it. I absolutely love it. You are not, NOT hijacking my idea at all. Please continue to do this as often as possible, do not wait for me, I will join when I get home. My schedule is very inconsistent lately, and with two kids and tons of after-school activities... well life gets hectic.
On another note, for the past two days, the only exercise that I was able to get was walking around in circles on a hospital floor. My good friend just had her VSG done by Dr. Cirangle and I stayed the night in the hospital with her. She is doing well and is recovering beautifully. I met two other of Dr. Cirangle patients while I was there. I am happy to report that everyone was doing great and the motivation and determination on that hospital floor felt exhilarating to me. I am really tired, as I got almost no sleep, but tomorrow is a new day, and I am determined to start walking again.

Thursday went to the gym at lunch time hoping to do the aquafitness class but there was no parking. By the time I parked I was too late for the class but did the eliptical for 20 mins. Had to get back to work then. But am proud of myself that I didn't just drive away in the first place.
Yesterday hubby and I spent 2 hours at our spa (gym feels like a spa!) doing all sorts of things. I did a variety of cardio machines for about 40 mins then swam for 15, then all the treats like whirlpool, sauna, hammam, long shower, lots of water and home! It was super!

Ended my week on a positive note =) I didn't get any exercise in at the gym this week but I ended the week (today) with going ice skating for the first time in 15 years.....woohoo! We ice skated for 1 1/2 hours. When I got home I was still amped up from the excitement of it all and cleaned my living room and moved the exercise bike in there in front of the TV. I rode it for 30 minutes at level 4 with hills =)
My goals for this week are huge!!! I am hoping to go to the gym by myself which is a big deal for me. Also plan on using the bike as much as possible since i can't ignore it now....lol
