milestone and a few questions.....
as of Mon--10 weeks out--down 50 lbs! I am doing good overall...I can say for any newbies reading, this is not an out for u to eat whatever u want and still lose weight. There are still challenges and its hard work..I work out/atleast walk a mile every day..can still only eat about 1.5 oz at a time and the chewing and taking the small bites remembering is hard! the sleeve is a tool that will work WITH you--not by it self!!
Questions:
My mouth gets very dry and seems like my saliva gets very thick after I eat--not sure if this is normal and if it stays this way??
when i eat, i can eat about 1.5 oz at a time and I am usually hungry about 2-2.5 hours later, I am hungry again? am i supposed to be?
The nutritionist told me i need to be eating some carbs--I was cutting all carbs out--she said if I dont my muscles can turn to mush--how in the world do u get in the carbs?? I am focused on getting in my protein and I do not seem to have room for anything else. how do u do it??
Any guidance will be greatly appreciated!!!

We were sleeved the same day. I am down 42lbs. since that date. I have not been able to exercise do to a heart condition that was surgically corrected on the 5th.
I can only eat about 1.5 - 2 oz at a time and usually get hungery 2-3 hours later. I was told a good way to get carbs was to eat fruit flavored Greek yogurt instead of plain. That has helped me.
I don't have dry mouth, but I do have a hard time getting all my fluids in some days.
Hope this is a little help to you and congrats on the good work.

I agree!! I was like I'm supposed to eat these? But, she said I need some good carbs-not eating any is no good--I try to eat some kind of carb every day and its still working for right now....I have tic tacs stored away too..in my purse and on my desk at work because after I eat and I start to talk I can feel the cotton mouth.
First of all, Congratulations on your loss so far!
As far as the dry mouth goes, you might not be getting enough water in. Some people need more water than others. 64 oz is just a guideline (or so I've been told).
Most of my carbs come from V8. I drink one 5.5 oz can per day but I don't have the problem of getting hungry between meals. If I did, I might try to have a mid morning and/or a mid afternoon snack consisting of fruit or veggies (apples, pears, oranges, carrots, cucumber) something healthy and they have carbs. If you're not getting enough protein, then go for the yogurt with fruit like one of the other posters said.
Good Luck!
