Re-introducing myself

I started doing research about revising to the sleeve (from lap band) back in July.  I had meet with one surgeon and had another appointment schedule with another.

In September I found out my husband was cheating on me and stopped any research for a while.

Now I'm in the middle of a divorce, got my head on as straight as it can be, and I'm ready to have a revision.   I have an appointment Thursday with the surgeon that I plan on using.

I've borrowed the money from my 401K, and I'm ready to be sleeved!

I've had the band for almost 7 years.  It worked pretty good for the first 6 years, but then my esphogas became dilated in July.  Since that point if I'm tight enough to feel restriction, it's showing too tight on fluroscope.

My lowest weight (almost 2 years ago) was 192.  Yesterday I weighed 219.    I started out at 270 and I refuse to gain any more!

I'm sure I'll get this question answered Thursday, but what were your lifting restrictions after surgery?

I have a two year old son (His birthday is today!) and an almost 4 year old daughter.    I still have to lift my 2yo quite a bit and he's 28 lbs.

Looking forward to getting to know you all (and start losing weight again!).

Welcome back!  Sounds like you have been through a lot!  For me, I was unable to lift over 10 pounds for 6 weeks.  Do you have anyone that could help with your children during the day to relieve you of the lifting?

I can send them to the babysitter during the day.   Not sure what I'll do at night time though.    It would be hard to get my son in his crib.   They're Daddy is still really involved in their life, so he may just have to help out  a lot more for the first six week or so.

Thanks,
Amy
