WILL I EVER BE ABLE TO CHUG WATER AGAIN

I can!

I just had surgery on the 21st and cant really chug but at 7 days I can drink much easier than at 5 days out. I have been drinking much like kraik. I take a big mouthful and swallow it in a couple smaller gulps

Today I have gotten in about 60oz's. First time for me this week. At 5 days I only did 36oz's.

 I am almost 5 weeks out and cannot drink plain water very well. It makes my tummy uncomfortable. I can add crystal light and drink just fine. Some dAys I have more restriction than others. On "good" days I can drink "normally" but drinking too fast makes me nauseated  I guess we are all different in what we can tolerate  i wish u the best!

Im a little over 3 months out and I can take nice size drinks, not huge gulps (I havent tried too) like before surgery, but good enough.

No.....you likely will not be able to chug an entire bottle of water again.  The water does flow through.....but it still backs up a bit.  I can drink a 20oz bottle in about 10 mins.

I can drink half a 16oz, at a time, but not all of it.

Ha ha! I'm with you. I loved chuging water. I could chug 1/2 a litre at a time. Now that same 1/2 litre takes me half a day. 

 I was the same way.  It killed me to sip water...  I found, after about 2 months from the surgery, that if I filled my mouth up and swallowed frequently, it fulfilled the urge to chug...

oh my god that question was on my mind today lol im 2 months out and i drink water little by little sometimes i feel that my doctor decided to take 95 percent of my stomache instead of 85 loolll i hope it becomes better by time and will be abe to chug and chug and chug cos i cant imagine california summer without nice cold bottle of water chuged :)

 So funny...I can drink pretty fast, a bottle in a few minutes.........BUT I also somehow started the mouth full thing too.  Don't know when but certainly thought I was the only one!!!!!
