Wish me luck! A week in Vegas...
Howdy! So here's my update...
I've done a great job of working out at the gym here for at,least an hour every morning. I am also trying to walk as much as possible.
Eating to plan is a challenge.... Irregular mealtimes and lots of candy are prevalent. I am successful at having a good breakfast, but have found myself snacking on candy. Today, I am making sure to have protein available for snacks, but have still had some candy. I will work on eating less candy...
3 more days to go :)

I had a great time in Vegas! However, I did not experience a good relationship with food while there :(
On a good note- I worked out 3 of the 5 days, and walked a lot every single day. I also ate in moderation, and did not engage in any type of bingey behavior.
On a bad note- I went waaaaaay over my calories on most days, mainly due to all of the evil candy and desserts that were around me. I really took this as an opportunity to eat way too much of all of the things I normally stay away from. I currently weigh 4 lbs more than I did before the trip. This doesn't surprise me- in the "old days", I would easily gain that much weight or more on a trip like this.
The good thing: as soon as I arrived back home, I got on plan. I worked out and logged my food this weekend, and stayed within my calorie range. I also promised myself that "vacation" and "home" behavior need to remain seperate. At home, I need to always remain diligent to plan.
My challenge this summer will be to stay on plan during cabin season- I cannot use every weekend as an excuse to eat poorly! I will need to treat cabin as a "home" situation, since we will be going there so much... I can do it though! There are lots of healthy foods that I can grill, and lots of healthy snacks that I can take on the boat :)
