10,000 Club

 Hey all,

I had a nutrionist say once that if you walk over 10,000 steps a day you will lose weight.  This came with the session that they gave me a pedometer to start tracking my steps.  I lost it that night, and didn't think twice about it.  Later, the DH started the process- but he started using it religiously.  Eventually I pulled mine out and good things have been happening since.

My new exercise goal is now 10,000 steps plus 30 minutes of "exercise".  It is a simple goal and it is really adding up on myfitnesspal.  So...

I was wondering if anyone online would like to do a daily thread posting steps taken for the day.  For those early out and exercise is tougher- instead of 10,000 steps track your average day for a few days and then add 10% for a week, then the following week another 10%, et****il you make it to 10,000.

I choose to not include steps from when i am on the elliptical in the 10,0000 figure, but certainly others can go whatever route works for them.

The DH and I feel that walking regularly is by far the exercise that will be the most sustainable for us as we age.

Any takers?

Very cool :)  The hardest part is remembering to put it on in the morning!
