I was allergic to it. I take flutamide which is a stronger antiandrogen.

I have PCOS with body hair issues so THANK YOU for this post... I hadn't gotten it yet but planned to!

I take biotin AND have PCOS but have not noticed an increase in hair in "unwanted" laces. I actually started the Biotin (same dose as you) before my surgery. Now I will add that I am also 7 years post menopausal and that may have something to do with the differences. I used to take Metformin and Spironolactone for my PCOS and they were both effective the former for insulin resistance issues and the later was to keep the hair I had on my head. I did notice some thinning at the onset of emnopause and actually this past year prior to surgery too and I think it was because I went the HCG diet 3 times in one year (again, prior to sleeve surgery). HCG is notorious for hair loss. Just hope it comes back! Not a baldy yet but nervous it will happen one way of the other. Thanks for the info!

I currently take flutamide which is the strongest antiandrogen on the market and it's rare to find a dr that will give it to women. It's like spiro but like 500 times stronger (i'm exaggerating) but I still  have issues with hair. I also take 2000mg of metformin too and I take Yaz. My hairloss is pretty bad for what my hair used to look like and my estrogen level doesn't even exist :(

I maybe all these hairs were here before but they were just growing so slow that I could get to them in time to not notice the magnitude, but at this speed I can't keep up. My leg hair really is growing fast. Before I could go a few days without shaving my legs and still get away with shorts but now it's an every day thing. Let's not get started on the face. *sigh* I've officially named my mustache.

What's PCOS(question mark broken). I have to say the hair thing does scare me.  All these years of being obese, the one thing I could always count on was great hair.  I know it's a small price to pay.  I'm still so excited to have the surgery.

Giiiirl if you don't know, you don't want to know!

It's polycystic ovarian syndrome and it pretty much turns you into a man. It's the devil.

Oh, thank you for telling me, that was the furthest thing from my mind..  I'm used to IEP's and PDD NOS and other such things pertaining to Autism.

I wish you the best of luck.

I have PCOS too and you might know this trick already but Magic hair remover is amazing stuff.  It's a depilatory cream made for men but it's the best thing I've tried.  Works for bikini area too.

i don't think i have pcos but thank you for the warning.  you never know.  at least we now know biotin DOES work for hair growth (even if it sprouts the damn stuff in horrible places!).
