UPDATE! Dieting Before Surgery and that Nasty Protein!!!
I just got the Kinnect and use the Zumba. It does a pretty great job of picking everything up. A friend has the BL for the kinnect and said sometimes it doesn't get the floor routines but otherwise is pretty accurate.
I think it's fun to try and compete against yourself. Just don't ever make the mistake of looking at video of you performing the songs with Zumba, it's scary (well at least for me with no rythm).

Good for you, as one who had a fair bit of pre surgery weight loss, I really think it helped to make everything go easier during surgery and recovery, I did 1,200 calories a day and had a protein shake every morning as a meal replacement. (tracking my foods proved a most valuable tool) I really liked that shake and drank it for a good 10 months before surgery, every day, so I like your plan!!! My shake was 1.5 scopes of vanilla MRM Natural Protein powder, about 8 ounces of Kefir and a small hand full of frozen Triple Berries from Coscto......never got tired of it.
My thinking skills have gotten a little slow lately so I started taking a cup of coffee in the morning, I used the Syntrax Chocolate Truffle as well yesterday, just mixed it in my luke warm coffee, it was pretty darn good but I like the capaccino one better. I have gotten use to using the Premier Protein Shakes, since surgery, because they were only 11oz of liquid, pretty thin and 30 g of protein, easier to get down a week after surgery, so the chocolate one has just continued to be a staple for me.. Good luck with your goals.

I like Syntrax Nectar chocolate truffle but I tried Body Fortress chocolate peanut butter (!) at Walmart (no shipping!!) for $14.97 a tub (half the price of Syntrax!!!). I hit a scoop with a packet of stevia and a squirt of sugar free chocolate syrup, also at Walmart and shake with unsweetened almond milk and it's good!
