Welcome to the losers bench. I felt great as soon as they took the drain out, yes I had some soreness but not as much as I thought I would. I had all good days since the drain came out so I can't relate to the pain.

Just take it easy and get some rest and sip sip sip. Remember to keep moving when you feel up to it and just short walks will make you feel much better This is major surgery even though you don't feel it.

Hang in there, I don't think it is bad as you think. I actually had a great recovery and had no problems. I remember being in Mexico and reading the boards and some people that were a few weeks out were having problems laying down post op, none here and thought maybe where my surgeon did so many of these he had it all figured out for pain control for his patients.

Your nerves are going to get worse probably, my only thing was leaving my baby when I got out of the car at the airport, I was in tears because there are risks with any surgery of course that is what bothered me was incase I didn't make it back to my kids. Once I got to the hospital I felt good, wanted to get it over with really quick and get better and get home.

Your right Jackie,My recovery hasnt been too bad.Just the gas pain its what really hurts.I've not had any problem laying down.I'm a side sleeper and i was really worried about it.How I've been able to sleep pretty well on my side with a pillow in front of me.My nerves did get the best of me at first but the day of surgery i went in my calm and with god on my head.
