Day 4 of my post-Vegas detox....

....and all is well! :)

I am proud of myself-  though I was off plan last week while in Vegas for a work trip, I immediately got back on plan once I was home.  I'm back to tracking food and staying within my calorie range.  I'm working out every day.  3.5 more pounds to lose, and then I'll be at my pre-Vegas weight.

My work trip has taught me:
- It's more difficult for me to stay on plan when I am away from home, and have unlimited free food around me.
- I can work work out when away on business trips, but it doesn't mean that I will magically not gain weight (if I'm not eating on plan)
- It's not hard for me to get back on track, once I'm back at home.
- Getting back on track is MUCH easier now, than pre-VSG.  I can cut my calories down, and not be starving.

Amen to that!  I travel for work a lot and I agree with everything you said.

I am SO GLAD that I don't travel more than I do...

My hubby travels more than me, and I've been giving him heck for eating bad on his trips.  I had to appologize to him after my trip- I never realized how hard it was to eat well, when away from home that long!  I've traveled for work before... I never really thought about how bad I would eat on these trips!!!

My goal is to try to eat better on my trips to the cabin this summer- I CANNOT and WILL NOT turn those little trips into an excuse to eat off plan and not work out...

I plan plan plan, take healthy snacks, drink lots of water... and I still struggle.  It's a normal part of my job so I need to keep refining my strategy and my behavior when I travel.   I used to love the travel part of my job and now I dread it... need to get back to a "happy" place with it!!

Woohoo!  It's been just under a week since getting back from Vegas, and I'm back to my "Friday before Vegas weigh-in" weight.  This week I've eaten on plan, and worked out each day....  It's just so amazing to me how easy it is to eat on plan after a rough week like that.  In the olden days, it would have been MUCH tougher for me to get back on plan and get the weight back off.  I heart my VSG :)
