Am I getting in too many calories with my protein drinks too fast

I am 6 days post-op and I just started my protein drinks yesterday. I have bought two different types of shakes.

Pure Protein Shakes (ready made)
35 grams protein
4 grams carbs
170 calories per serving (11 FL. OZ.)
Yesterday I had 2 shakes to total my 70grams of protein per day
Total calories 340

Today I am trying Designer Way Protein powder
18grams protein per serving scoop
3grams carbs
100 calories per serving scoop
plus
8oz Skim Plus/Fat Free Milk
110 calories
If I were to get in my 70 grams of protein a day, I would have to drink 4 protein shakes!
Total protein 72 grams
Total calories 840!!
Is that way too many calories? Should I just stick with The Pure Protein Shakes?
Should I be worried about the amount of calories?

That seems super high for 6 days out.  I am 10 days out and I am averaging 300 to 400 calories a day. I do a shake for breakfast, lunch and dinner and water inbetween.  Until I am cleared to start eating, this will remain consistant.

I use Pure Protein powder andNectar protein powder and they are 23g protein per serving
I also have a bariatric beef broth that has 15g protein. The shakes are 110 calories and the broth is 70 calories.
My Nut told me don't worry about protein until puree stage (wk 3) , just focus on fluids for the first 2 weeks.

I'm 7 days out and I'm lucky to finish one 11oz shake that's 160 calories for the whole day.  Then sometimes I can stomach a bit of broth in the evening but that might get me another 10 or 20. So if I'm getting 200 a day I'm lucky.
