I have the itch to swim laps and tour 50 miles a day on my bike again but I need to hit 40 BMI so I can get a hip replacement, meanwhile I'm itching....   (a third would be back packing, like I was doing in Kings Canyon Nat. Forest, where I hurt my hip to begin with....)

I did many 3 to 6 day cycling tours in the US, Mexico and Canada, with friends and others.. (even overwieght and I sure as hell hope I have it in me) I would say if you have an itch for cycling and you dig watching the world go by while you have a medium work out and you know how to pick nice looking world to watch go by, cycling is an awesome sport.  I like to be outside, gyms make me sad....unless they have a pool...

Right now my goal is to finish Power 90 (I'm starting Tai Cheng along with it on Monday). So that, hopefully, by June 1st when I finish Power 90 I'll be ready to start P90x.

Unless of course I've gotten to have surgery by then....then that'll push me back a little bit so I can heal, but the goals don't change.

Revised from band to sleeve on June 6th, 2012. Lost 48 pounds on my own in the 4 months prior to revision.

I'm still losing and that's obviously a goal but I also have physical goals for myself.  I'm doing an obstacle course race (3.5 miles) in Sept. and I'm doing the Army 10 miler in October.  I'd like to do the Princes 1/2 marathon in 2013 too but I have to see what my husband's deployment schedule looks like.

I would love to go backpacking/camping at a place here in Michigan called Isle Royale.  No cars allowed, in the U.P and VERY remote.  Hoping to make a go of it in the Fall, but perhaps the following Fall.  I need to get in better shape before I tackle this.  I can walk 5 miles easily now, just thinking that if I started carrying the pack I would keel over at a mile!

Oh, acbrown- I hear you on the bug issues.  I am just planning on wrapping myself in mosquito netting from head to toe!

I decided to do 1 new outing a month now rather than waiting to hit my final goal.

Did the kayaking thing in March---was so afraid my a$$ wouldn't fit---but room to spare.

Next on the list---skeet shooting within the next 2 weeks (gotta use that Groupon certificate before expiration). Not exactly a high energy calorie burner but a new experience for me.

And then---signed up yesterday for a May 1 zip lining event!  Weeeeeeeeeee  Pure Adrenalin!

Got a 10k on April 14. Then, I want to learn to ride. I've always been very obese, so I've never felt it would be right to get on a horse. Now, though, I really, really, really want to learn to ride.

A summer long challenge that we've already started: section hike/bike the whole 184 mile C&O Canal towpath. Since we do round trips (out to a destination and back to our starting point) it'll take us 368 miles to do it all.

Highest weight: 335 lbs, BMI 50.9
Pre-op weight: 319 lbs, BMI 48.5
Current range: 140-144, BMI 21.3 - 22

175+ lbs lost, maintaining since February 2012

Bought 2 kayaks today.  Hubby and I are going to start using them tomorrow.  We have 3 nice lakes within a 3 mile radius of our house so we can throw them in the back of the truck and be at the lake in less tan 5 minutes.  I hope that the kayaking will be a nice mild upper body workout for me.

Went last night and bought a Taurus 380 semi-auto handgun.  I've always wanted to learn to shoot but wouldn't do it when the kids were at home.  Will take a consealed weapons  carry class later in the month.  Momma's gonna be packin' heat!

I'm not at goal yet but I am trying to develop a new me along with my new body.  Part of that is overcoming some "issues".  First, even though I've always wanted to shoot, I was somewhat fearful of guns.  I'm overcoming that.

Also, I have this "thing" about deep, dark water.  You know...like the lakes I'll be kayaking in.  I am trying to do fun stuff to overcome these issues.

I also recently got me some new shoes, and am loading my MP3 player with motivating music and books on tape so that I can start running again.  I LOVE to run.  Used to do a daily 3 miler in my 20s and before fibromyalgia.  I am getting over the "I can't do that anymore" mentality to go back to running.

I'm also considering a tattoo.  Believe me, no one that knows me would ever think I'd do that.  I have an idea of what I want and will put it on my foot.

Someone asked me recently if I was in some kind of bucket list frenzy or something.  I said no, I just feel better than I have in 20 years so why not do some of the stuff I used to not be able to do?

My adult kids just look at me and shake their heads but I see the glint in their eyes that says YOU GO MOM!

Hey, that's really terrific!  You should take pics of your kayaks on post them on here for us to see!

I've also been considering a tattoo as well, especially to denote this radical lifestyle change.... hrm...
