VSG on 03/13/12
Today was my first post-op visit since surgery,I'm exactly 20 days out since i was sleeved.Since my surgeon usually does surgeries on tuesday i had to make my appointment for today. The appointment went very well,He was thrilled with the way my incision looks and we talked about putting me on meds to help prevent gallstones,So i have to pick that up tomorrow or wednesday. He was look shocked when i asked about that...lol(thanks OH),I guess many of his patients dont ask,However i was more then prepared.I have lost 23 pounds

, Since surgery and over all of 36 pounds since august.Totally shocked and happy,I know that this is just the start of my journey and the number wont always be this big but i am enjoying the moment,Thank you guys so much for your support and advice from the vets to the newbies.Just a side note to the newbies,Understand that it will get easier.I'm 20 days out and i feel awesome.

Well, sleeve sister ( had our surg same day) - you are doing awesome! I was going to ask for the medicine to prevent gallstones but he took my gallbladder out due to polyps on the gallbladder.
You have lost more than I have. I lost 13 lbs the first week and it's been slow coming off the remaining days. Hoping for a good loss this week. I am getting 600-650 calories daily and around 60 grams protein. Going to start walking this week. I struggle to get in enough water in but I try sipping all day long. I have been trying some mushie recipes I found on website. I bought some glad plastic dishes ( 1/2 cup size) so perfect serving sizes. Keep up the good work. You are doing great.
Awesome! Today was my first post op appt too. It was also good. My doctor was really pleased witheverything
My surgery was. 3/20. I've lost 18 total (weigh loss before and after surgery). Yay! I'm so happy. I love hearing everyone's success. The stories make me really look forward to the rest of my journey!
