Why-Loose Skin....???

Your comment reminds me of when I was on the phone with some call center rep the other day and he found out I lived in Southern California. He thought we all walk around in bikinis and that we mingle with movie stars and famous people on a daily basis. I went to Nor Cal once and it didn't seem too different except the weed on the street was a lot cheaper and there were a lot more dred locks.

Maybe the whole 1-800-Get-Thin lap band thing is so huge in So Cal because there ARE so many fat people.It's absolutely not rare to see another fat person. Just yesterday in the grocery store a very large woman "drove" by in a scooter because she was too large to walk. Now that I'm 300 as opposed to almost 400 pounds, I see plenty of people my size. At almost 400 it was less common but I wouldn't say rare. We have multiple big girl stores in every mall and definitely scattered through strip malls and that's only in my surrounding cities. We had a BBW STRIP CLUB in Hollywood. Let me repeat that, a STRIP CLUB with only fat girls dancing in it. It's been closed for a few years but there's also some underground rappers (more than you'd think) that have a lot of songs geared towards BBWs and they're all about promoting big girls. I don't think they're good, but they still exist. We have a lot of BBW models for smaller magazines and websites but also for bigger ones. There are lingerie and "sexy clothes" websites for towards BBWs (local) and I could have sworn I saw sizes up to 8-10X. I'm talking fish net whole dresses. Ohhh there are even BBW escort services. Not kidding. Every year there's a BBW Vegas Bash in where people come from all around here and the surrounding areas of Vegas and party for a week. They take over a hotel or two in Vegas. If you get in on the scene you will find that there is a lot more going on than you think. All of that is in addition to the clubs  (which more attempt to open since it's a big business but they aren't always successful so sometimes we have 7 and sometimes we have 4ish).

Word is that you guys have at least 2 big girl clubs up north too.

all of theses "BBW models" are size 14....Lane Bryants models are size 14-16. Catherines are sign 16 at the most. Have you ever seen a model who wears a size 26?? Nope...
and when men mean "big girls", they mean "thick" girls.....size 14/16/18. Never met anyone who was attracted to my size 24, 2X body....

I'm not talking about the ones in the stores. They don't count to me either. They're "normal" to me. You've never met anyone attracted to that?! Do you live in So Cal? What part? I have tons of guys trying to get with me and I'm currently a 26 jeans and 3-4x top and I had guys trying to get with me when I was 80 pounds heavier too. Where I live, the people that say "thick" can go all the way up to 380 pounds because I'd tell them "this is not thick, this is huge" and they wouldn't agree.

Someone just posted about finding love because you accept yourself and it shows and that's what people are attracted to. At 380 pounds I didn't have self esteem but at 340i****hought I was the sexiest thing in the world (size 28) so maybe it had to do with that, also how the weight is distributed and the way clothes fit. I have seen people smaller than me that wear ill fitting clothes and look "frumpy" and I don't find that attractive but give that same person a make over and I guarantee they can pull a guy.

BBW is not "plus sized" which today seems to be anything sz10-12 & up. BBW is 22-24 and usually higher.. There are a LOT of men and some women that have a fat fetish, and some generally just find BBW/M attractive.. this is not new. There are clubs that cater to this.. I have been hit on a lot when I was a 22-24, it's just whatever the guy prefers.

I would say BBW goes from 18/20 to infinity. Usually the smaller ones are "plus sized" but yeah I was talking about real BBW models and clubs and strip clubs, escort services and all of that. Jo are you in So Cal too or do you have all of that where you live too?

I'm not trying to make it seem like everyone here is huge but **** there is definitely a BBW scene and it's pretty huge (no pun intended).

I used to live in NJ, 10mins from NY city.. but now in Indiana. To me 16 is the average, and up to 22 is a normal plus size around here.. We def have a scene in Indy, and I see the pics and BBW models in mags around here. I was never in the scene, but it's everywhere.

I'm glad someone else has seen "the scene" so I don't look like I'm making it up! I used to be very into it in my early 20s before I got into a long relationship. Now that I'm single again a few of the rappers and club owners are telling me to bring my ass back.

I had actually found out about the bbw-scene through a patient of mine when I worked at a pain management clinic. She told me she ran the events in the state I live in and had told me about the BBW Vegas Bash that happens yearly in the summer. I had never heard about this scene before. She told me how beautiful I was and how I should check it out - that was 6 or 7 years ago.
Fast forward to last year, I actually went and checked it out.... wasn't bad, but was fairly small because it isn't a big scene in my city. I know there are alot in Southern Cali, and on the east coast - NJ, CT, NY, etc. While I was there, I met the guy that runs the Vegas events - his name is Darwin. Nice guy, very passionate about it and he's average sized. His wife is a BBW. He told me what goes into planning this event, what types of criteria the hotel must pass - will the guest be able to sit in the chairs at the location, fit in the shower, etc. It's crazy. Anyhow, he gave me a free pass to this years - which is I think only 5 days long instead of a week. Gonna check it out for the sake of it... gets me outta here. I can avoid going to the events if I choose and just do it Vegas-style :)

I'm so jealous. I think I'm going to go this year too. His wife Joann? Did you meet Tree? Tall black rapper guy that all the women are stuck on! I heard you guys have at least one club out there because the owners usually talk to each other and invite each other to the different clubs. At those events you see very, very large women in bikinis and they are very comfortable because they know it's just for them. OMG there was an episode of CSI that I swear was based on the Bash.

Yeah, his wife is Joann... she wasn't there with him, so I didn't meet her. I don't know Tree, but I've heard about him and see pics. That guy Stu from Cali was going off about him recently. From what I hear the guy is a douchebag, but I don't know him. I think he's been here a few times for the club.
Yes, we do have one club here.. it's called Club Fullfilled. It's not very busy the few times I've gone and the girls never talked to me - only got hit on by the few guys there. I think she's trying to do more marketing to get a bigger crowd.
I certainly won't be wearing a bikini.... and I've seen plenty of pics to have an idea of what the attire is. I just figured I'd check out the scene... get outta town, if it isn't my thing I can go off and do other things.
