had to take pain killers

 So I like one of the other ladies  I read on here have managed to hurt myself at one of my incision sights.  I don't know what I did but when I move I get a stabbing horrid paid that takes my breath away.  There's no heat or swelling so I think I just really pulled something on my left side while walking a neighbor's dog.  Well it got so bad just a minute ago I almost couldn't get out of the chair and I broke down and took some of the pain meds.  They are working but boy am I loopy.  I sure hope this heals quick because it sure makes any exercise impossible.

Do what you have to do to help the pain.  Pain exhausts me!  I tried to be "strong" and not take any pain meds but then it struck me that I was exhausting myself just trying to manage it - silly me!  Don't overdo it obviously but please don't suffer.

Now I don't know if it is anything that I had, it was tolerable and it was down in my lower left near the belly button. I read on here that some surgeon stitch something down low to prevent a hernia. I don't know the full details but it is something that you can look into. I have a few weeks to read back on, missed your post op I know you were having surgery around the time I was heading away on vacation.

 I pulled something at the site of my big incision also, I was about 2.5 or 3 weeks out.  I had to take the pain killers too.  The pain lated about 2 days, the first day was the worst.  After two days the pain totally went away.  Hope it goes away quickly for you too!

 i had this same issue - i took the pain meds for about 3 days and slowed WAY down. rest as much as you can and it will get better. since i didn't know what i did to cause it i just pretty much stopped everything until the pain subsided. took about 3 days. hope u feel better soon.

 I remember you posting that's why I didn't get in a panick.  I actually did it on Monday and it's been getting worse because I'm not slowing down.  Now that my husband is back for the next 2 days I'm doing nothing!

 yeah - you have to take it easy. try to get some rest and use the meds to stay ahead of the pain. it won't take long. :-)
