Happy Easter!

Today is a day traditionally spent with family and friends. Everyone brings a dish and everyone eats/drinks and gets merry.
It's just how we roll in our family.

So today, I decided I wasn't going to "think" too much about food, calories, carbs etc.

So now I'm revisiting my choices for the day and I've eaten lazagna, but not a lot, A picec of cheesecake, a sliver really, a brownie which was actually a 2 inch square but I ate it over the course of a couple hours. A couple glasses of wine and some Gran Marnier w/ dessert.

So now I look back and realize I can eat enough to definately gain back some weight but also I can't eat nearly the amount I could have last year at this time.

I'm going to have to buckle down and limit my calories for a few days, and hit the gym with a vengence for a few days.
But I think I can minimize the damage and move forward with my goals.
Thanks to my sleeve.

It was a great Easter holiday with my family....I wouldn't change that for the world.

cheers,
donna

Every day is a new learning. In the grand scheme, it was all about family today. Enjoy!!!  Buckle down tomorrow...

I agree...as long as we do not make choices that sabotage our efforts..and we can get right back on track...isnt enjoying life and truly living the reason we choose to go thru all of this with WLS?

You had a nice day...did well and will resume your plan.....good for you

We are so much alike it's scary.  I made a choice today to have some treats.  I didn't go crazy, but had way more sugar/carbs than I normally do.  A little bread here, a bit of cake there, a few jelly beans, a mini kit kat.  That was amongst my protein and veggies.  So not breaking the calorie bank by any means, but way more calories & carbs than normal.

But, I feel very mu*****ontrol.  I'll get back on plan (actually, I already have which is a victory in and of itself).  Then on Wednesday, I head to my favorite playground... VEGAS!  So I'll indulge in a drink or two most likely, plus a bite or two of dessert.  But I'll also get in lots of walking and water and protein.  I plan to enjoy myself without going overboard.  Throw lots of poker and craps in there for good measure!!!!!  Plus a spa trip and tons of shopping.  Yippee!!

Thanks for starting this confessions thread... I feel better already!!

I think you've got the right idea. Realize what you're doing and figure out what you need to do about it. Congratulations and here's to your continued success.

I did not get fat from what I ate on a holiday, but because I ate like everyday was a holiday.

I watch the 20 meals each week more carefully than the 1 meal that might be unusual.  I hope that this thinking, along with daily exercise will help me achieve balance and vibrant health in my life.

I had two weeks of eating on vacation, came back to being up 3 lbs, they are now off again but back to my 204 that I was on 21 March when I left for vacation so really along with them 3 lbs I have to account for not losing any for two weeks as well. I am once again 4.1 lbs away from entering 199.9 so I will get to see the numbers on the scale. I am hoping to continue the strict diet for the rest of my month so I want to get another few pounds off this week.

I have to agree with what others say here, it is just one day and it is the lifestyle change that we agreed to make with this surgery to get right back on track and not let this one day or in my case 2 weeks get us side tracked.
