For those who had JP Drains...

Drains are bad enough, but leaking makes it Sooo much more vivid!! I will have to have one, my surgeon does it on all sleeves and bypasses but only until you go home so two days! Yours, that is a LONG time!! As long as the drainage hasn't changed for the worse, foul odor, color or increases, it should be just fine! See, not much good comes from cleaning

Good luck my friend!!! The JP drain is a pain in the butt. I didn' try to keep mine dry, and was told when showering, to let the water run over it as well as my incisions. Today I got mine removed and it was not pleasant, but so glad it's over with and I feel so much better without the ball and chain.
Are you squeezing the bulb after you empty your drain, so it can suction the drainage into the bulb?
