a mixed bag

The last couple of days have been a mixed bag of victories and challenges.  Last night we got our jackets for the Heritage Tour that starts Saturday.  I had asked for an XL 2-3 months ago - it was snug, but I figured by the trip it would be fine.  A bunch are backordered, so they gave me an XXL - way too big.  I tried on my daughter's L (she needs M) and it fit with room to spare!  I've also had a couple of people ask for information about WLS for themselves or others, and it felt good to pay it forward.  Also, my dance teacher told me how well I'm doing, in front of the class, and they all clapped! 

My challenge is in the recital routine we're learning.  The latest part has us getting down on our knees while doing arm movements, walking on our knees, then getting up.  I couldn't do these moves w/out putting my hands on the floor down and up.  I was so upset and will be so embarrassed during the recital, as otherwise I'm keeping up.  I am upping my leg strengthening, and looking at tricks I can use to look a little more graceful.  I am also trying to accept what is is what is, but I've been so excited about being in the recital, and now I'm discouraged.  Oh well, life isn't always perfect is it?

you know its all what you focus on...believe me-I get it..sucks when all you want is to just be normal..to do everything that you wished you could...it will come...

focus on all that you CAN do.....the fact that you can even be in a recital...doing so well with accolades from the instructor no less!

Thanks Mirabell!  It is much better to look at the cup as half full instead of half empty, and I usually do, but sometimes I get a bit stuck on the negatives.  Thanks for the much needed reminder!
