VEGAS BABY!! With pics!!
Alright, so here's my post-Vegas update. We had a great trip, despite some hiccups. It was our umpteenth trip to Vegas... so we're not rookies... which is good because the weather sucked! The first day was ok, but the second two were rainy and cold. But we know how to handle it and what to do inside, so everything was good.
And then there was the day I spent in bed with food poisoning. Ugh. It was terrible. Debilitating nausea, diarrhea and exhaustion. I'm amazed I didn't vomit... still haven't since I got my sleeve (a blessing!). I ate virtually nothing that day and felt super skinny the next day (shocker). I bet I was at goal since I'm so close but without a scale handy in Vegas, I'll never know.
I ate way better than I thought I would. I planned to eat protein first but throw in some carbs and other desserts that I normally wouldn't. Well, I ate my protein first, still limited the carbs, and didn't have much dessert. I ate three meals and one snack per day pretty much (when I normally eat three meals and 2-3 snacks). I also ate less volume than I normally would... I guess the combination of residual nausea from the food poisoning and the fear of overeating and feeling crummy was a good deterrant!! I came home two pounds lighter than when I left home! WOO HOO!!
And now, for some pics. There are less than I planned because I had to totally skip dinner the night I was sick. So one less fierce outfit to show off than I wanted to. Plus, you can't completely appreciate the heels I was sporting due to the mediocre pics. But they were 4+ inches. I NEVER wore those when I was 200+ pounds. Ouch! But heels hurt a lot less after you drop almost 100 pounds!! Love it! Still didn't make it all night in them, but made it several hours.
A pic from my previous trip to Vegas (last year) at 245 pounds or so. Size xxl shirt and 20 or 22 pants. Look at those cankles!!
And here's me this year. Under 150 pounds and rockin' it!
LOVE MY SLEEVE!!!
