Let's Talk about Fat
Funny you put this lol I was just wondering because I went to make a burger and I read the package and it had 28grm of fat zero carb and 18grams of protein. High in calories like 320. Protein was great but I hesitated due to fat total and calories.what do you think about that? Curious?I know a lot of people don't count fat on there diet so I'm confused myself
yeah that's a lot of fat (and thus the high calories). Personally I'd give it a miss and go with a leaner source of protein. Even before surgery I always had the butcher ground a couple sirloin steaks for me. Tastes better and super low in fat.

How much of that burger can you eat? Most of my big "meals" are about 150-175 cals.. I just don't worry about the fat grams, but I do keep my calories within my plan range, and same for the carbs..
If you are finding yourself empty and not getting enough food (volume) within your calorie plan, cut the fats back.. Some days when I know I want XYZ rich thingie for dinner, I will make my lunch with Fage fat free greek yogurt instead of mayo.. You can adjust the calories down, but keep the volume the same by changing things up in that way..

We don't eat enough for it to matter (in my opinion). Also fat is a necessary component of your body. Those on a very low fat diet end up having health problems too.
It's just not something I am worried about right now. I focus on getting my protein up and my sugar/carbs down.
I eat full fat dairy and use small amounts of coconut oil when I cook. I feel great.
