9 month update with pics ( a little early)
I wont be around at the 9th month mark so I though I'd give the update now.
First, this was the best decision I've ever made. I recommend this surgery for anyone who has tried to lose weight and keep it off without success.
Heres my stats:
5'4" tall
51 years young
starting weight -233
surgery weight - 212
current weight -141
Pre Op (-21 )
Month 1 (-21 )
Month 2 (-9 )
Month 3 (-10)
Month 4 (-6)
Month 5 (-2) Holidays
Month 6 (-6) Hired a trainer and started lifting weights and running
Month 7 (-9)
Month 8 (- 6)
Month 9 (-2) so far
Totals:
-21 Pre Op - -71 post op For a grand total of -92 LBS
Pros:
I feel great!
I can shop any where I want except Lane Bryant
I can run up the stairs without breathing heavy or throwing my knees out.
I can run 40 minutes without stopping (oh yeah)
People treat me better (sad but true)
My husband looks at me like he used to and that feels great.
My husband lost 100 lbs so far with his sleeve
My daughter got her sleeve 3/5 and is doing great
My friend whom I've known for 37 years says I've never been this thin
Cons:
I spend too much money shopping
My husband says I spend too much money shopping
People always pick me to sit next to on the plane because there is so much room next to me
People are always calling me skinny or too skinny
Did I mention I spend too much money shopping?
I learned a lot of vital information about the sleeve, nutrition, exersize and recipies on this forum. Thanks to all for that. I'm still waiting on Friscos cookbook but for now just trying to figure out recipies for Elinas ideas is fun.
Here's the pics:
Before - 233 lbs size 20 XXL

During - 182 LBS size 12 - XL with the best man in the whole world

Present: 141 Lbs - Size 4 - S/M

These are actually a size two from Old Navy...totally vanity sized LOL
If you have any questions just message me...I'm an open book about this.
I wish all of you the best on your own personal journeys.
Cheers,
donna

Well that's something to think about because size 2? Really?
Although when I was shopping I took the size 2 up to buy them and they were 98 cents. I asked the girl why and she said the size 2 and 4's stay on the shelf so long that they just mark them way down to get rid of them. No signs or anything.
So I went and got 3 more pairs.
Don't tell my husband I was shopping again LOL
I don't think he'd appreciate the good deal.
