Day 6 vomitting

Today was day 6 for me. I have been doing well since surgery with improvement each day. This morning I woke up with some nausea for the first time. I ate my soup carefully and then in between I added jello and a popcicle for hydration. Following that I tried to chew up a multiple vitamin and I felt so sick, I had to throw up. I have not thrown up at all since right out of recovery.
I will call my doctor's office tomorrow but did anyone else have this? I still don't feel quite right.

It was likely the vitamin.  I tried several brands after surgery and they all made me very nauseous.  I finally was able to find out that I could keep down.

Vitamins can be rough on an empty stomach (or one with just fluids in it).  Call your doc if you are worried!

I did and still take a flintstones complete 3 times a day and have never had issues with them. Not sure what you are taking but give them a try if you haven't.
Remember  it's bariactric surgery, not brain surgery! You need to get your head in the game!!!!

I was told not to take vitamins until 4 weeks out..
It might just be too soon.
Even now I have to take my vitamins with food or they will make me sick..found that out the hard way once.

I started out with a liquid vitamin in my water for the first few weeks since the chewables were just too sweet. It helped...then when i was a full month out, i switched to chewables. They still make me gag mind you.

good luck!! :)

Ok great, that makes me feel so much better. I did have just liquids before the vitamin. I had been taking them fine but maybe the other days I had eaten and just forgot.
Thanks!
