For me it's habit and I'm constantly checking protein levels for the day and such so I'm just snacking here and there to get my amounts in for the day.

There have been very busy days, though, that I have forgotten and then forgot to feed my kids too! I felt so bad but getting out of the routine does that to a person, I guess!

Early out before my appetite and hunger came back I'd just eat on schedule.. now I don't have that issue most of the time, I usually get hungry every few hours, and my appetite returned at about mo 4 post-op.

I am over a year out, and if I am home AND not busy, I don't forget.
But, if I am really busy, or out and about, I do forget.

I eat on a schedule, still at 15 months post-op.  If I don't, I get shaky/tired/irritable from lack of calories.

Same thing for me.  I could forget but not for long because after 3 hours I start getting the body shakes and I'm super *****y.

Keeping an emergency protein bar on hand helps in situations where it's been almost 4 hours.

That has been me since day one. I often only eat 400 calories, and I know it is not healthy! Problem is, I don't feel hunger.
