Thank you, it looks (from what I've seen) that some docs might use more of the fundus (which stretches) and some more of the lesser curvature which doesn't. Might be where some of the confusion comes in.

Same happens unfortunately with the VSG, and more often too.. the RNY pouch and VSG stomach though both have the lesser curvature as the "backbone".. now if someone gets a large RNY pouch to start- more fundus, same with a large VSG. However, the RNY is more "standardized" so as much as it stinks, they likely have more reliable restriction from patient to patient- stoma issues notwithstanding.
