I just came back from a tropical vacation (Dominican Republic) where I was 245 pounds in a tank/skirt type suit.  Let me assure you ... you are going to look SMOKIN' HOT, lady!  First off - you will see a ton of largish women in bikinis, and no one will bat an eye at it.  That has become very popular.  You'll see old ladies and men in skimpy suits.  I saw more old men in speedos than I EVER needed to see, and still, no one was pointing, staring, or even giving a crap.  Sure, there will be some people who have perfect bodies, but they will not be the majority.  Hell, the Mr. Sexy competition was won by a guy in his late 50s, with a nerdy guy (whiter than me, if that's even possible) from Canada who had no muscles to speak of.  Everyone who is there is there to have fun, tan, swim, or relax.  99.9999% of them don't give a damn who else is even there, much less what they're wearing and whether the person has the perfect body.

I say find a suit that you like and feel comfortable in, get a nice coverup (because, honestly, it's gonna be hot and you will NOT want all of your skin exposed all the time anyway - plus you'll need to wear that over your suit to the restaurants), and concentrate on having fun!

When I arrived, I cared what people thought for approximately 5 minutes when I got on the beach.  Then I said **** it, it's too hot to wear this coverup all day (and sand was getting all over it), and I bared alllllll my arm fat and leg fat to the world.  There was no staring, fainting, or crying (which is surprising, given how pasty the fat is - it's like a beacon!).  haha  You'll be fine and look fabulous no matter what you wear! :)

Have you ever thought about a Monokini? They give the illusion of curves when you don't have them.
