Hi guys i know a lot of us are busy with life and working out and learning our new stomachs but i would love to hear from all my "SLEEVE SISTER" specially those that was sleeved on 3-13-2012.I just wanted to touch bases with you guys and see how everyone was doing.Who has gone down in size? what are you eating? What positive things have you noticed since being sleeved? I wanna know everything and then some.

Well as for me I'm down 39.9pds since surgery. My clothes size has not change however my favorite jeans are starting to get baggy,I've lost a lot of inches my stomach is a lot smaller.I'm starting to notice my collar bone peaking out more.
Protein shake now makes me gag so I'm getting most of my protein from food I'm doing a lot better with my water.I was on a stall for about three weeks but now the scale is moving.Over all I'm loving my tool and although it seems like my progress is slow I'm happy and the best thing of all I'm 15.4 and I'll be out of the fourrest.

I also had surgery on 3/13/12. I have only lost 31 lbs and have stalled. I started weighing only every Sat. because I was frustrated and discouraged scale not moving. I love the premier protein shakes so I try to have one everyday and that gets my protein between 80-90 grams. I feel better losing thirty and can't wait for the next thirty to come off. Been getting back in routine at work but finding exercise time has been a challenge. I eat my protein first and then if I have room will add a little fruit or vegetable. Needed to add more fiber to my diet. Found high protein/low carb wraps at walmart. Try to rotate and try new things so I won't get burned out on a certain food. Work hard to get fluids in and vitamins are a chore. So proud I gave up diet cokes ( was a big diet coke drinker). would like to lose 10-12 lbs before next Dr. appt. Hope the scale moves on Sat. Glad everyone is doing well and keep up the good work.

I was sleeved on 3/12/12.  I've lost 31 lbs as of today.  The scale did not move over the weekend and I just HATE that!  Otherwise,  I feel better than I have in many years.  I already feel like I've lost 100 lbs...I'm much more active and everyone is saying how good I look...they even call me "skinny"!  LOL .  I stuggle everyday with eating, drinking, protien, etc.  I have a protien shake every morning with about 55 grams of protien--but towards the end--I have to let the nausea subside between each swallow.  It is very difficult for me to get down the fluids in between trying to get the rest of the protien in.  I was never a big drinker so I just feel so bloated and don't want to swallow it down when I drink alot.  I have a lot of restriction, so getting the dense protien in is difficult too.  I do the best with fish...but I also eat chicken, lean ground beef and occasionally some grilled shrimp.  I definitely stay away from carbs and sweets, but crave salty, tasty stuff.  The shakes, yogurt and drink powders are soooo (artificially) sweet--I can't stand it!

Over all, I feel great!!  I do worry that I am not getting enough "good" nutrition.  I don't think it's healthy to only eat protien, no carbs, no fruits and veges.  I feel like I'm kind of losing slowly, but hopefully that will be better for my skin and long term weight loss.  I have the rest of my life, right??  I'm not a work out guru, either.  I work alot --- but I am so much more active and pain free now--I think the excercise and activity will build over time.

This was the first step in an life changing year.  I am looking to resign from my management - 5 day a week -- job in a couple of weeks and go to shift work where I work 2 - 3 shifts a week.  This will decrease the stress in my life and give me more time to myself and with my family.  I have been wanting to do that for a year now.  I'm just looking forward to more adjustment to the sleeve, getting to goal over the next 10 months and living life to the fullest for the first time in YEARS!!

Keep in touch and go to my page and check out my pics!!

Congrats Kathy thats awesome,You should be very proud of yourself.Sounds like your of to a great start.I know what you mean about the protein shake they seem to get harder to drink the futher out you get.I can eat beef and pork with no issue but chicken has gotten stuck a few times and it came back up.Shrimp to me for some reason takes even losnger to chew and i dont like that feeling in my mouth so i''ve kinda stayed away from it for now.Fish goes down without any issue.I have been craving the sweet stuff as well.I did try a little bit of pasta one day and that was a big hell no for me...It got stuck and then it cam back up so i've stayed away from pasta, rice and bread.Maybe i'll try again futher out.

Hi,I was also sleeved on 3/13 and I am down 42 from date of surgery. However I am not exercising much and I do feel that the weight loss have slowed down way to much for someone living on so little calories. It really frustrates me.

I dont even see real evidence in older habitual dieters post sleeve that exercise speeds things up at this stage.I know it tones and builds muscle and I will start exercising soon.My hip and leg still aches too much to get my head around it and the lack of painkillers is a problem now.But next week I plan on getting myself a personal trainer to kick my butt and to add to the pilates reformer classes I already do.

Basically I wanted to lose fast...hehehe.

At the moment I am trying to not diet (dieting and losing control is what got me this fat) and maybe that in itself makes me doubt myself all the time when I dont lose for a week.

Anyway,I am not unhappy with the loss or with the sleeve.I can eat almost anything in small portions but carbs like bread or pasta puts me to sleep and makes me feel dreadful so they are a no no.I am still also on PPI as I have some pain when I dont take it.

This is a great threat as it makes me see I am not doing too badly and I havent failed by not having lost a lot more.My sweet earing days are over as I just dont like the taste of sweet stuff anymore and that in itself is a miracle.

Lets update again in a few weeks.

xxo

Hi sleeve sisters!!!!! I'm doing great! I am glad to hear all of you are doing great as well. I am currently down 54lbs. EEK! But I have been on a 2 week stall and haven't lost anything. My body is freaking out. I have lost 2 pant sizes and love it.

What am I eating?? I eat greek yogurt in the mornings for breakfast. I have jello for snacks if i get hungry. I drink tons of liquid. I really like Diet Snapple Raspberry Tea and the Half and half lemonade/tea. I like making lettuce wraps with shrimp. I eat crockpot meats, like pulled pork or pot roast. I make it myself so I know how much salt or anything else that goes into it. I am not big on chicken unless that is in the crockpot too. Any other kind of chicken hurts, oh rotissere chicken I eat sometimes but its high in sodium. I like making low carb casseroles from a site. It has tons of recipes. I just tweek it to make it lower calorie and fat too. because it follows the atkins and is super high in fat and calories. Oh I also have salads here and there, if I am really craving veggies.

I now play softball again, and it's been eight years since I have done that! It's amazing! I also coach softball for younger girls. I have gone down a water slide and bought a smaller bathing suit! I'm loving the sleeve!
