When does the Nausea End?

So I'm almost 10 weeks out.  Had NO nausea the first 6 weeks then it kicked into high gear.  Especially with liquids, water being the worst.  Warm tea is ok but frankly when it's 90 degrees outside I'm not exactly chomping at the bit to drink a warm tea.  After workouts is the worst.  I puke for at least an hour after if I try to drink anything, warm cold whatever no matter how small the sip.

Due to some issues I can't go into calling my surgeon is not the best option and my PCM is at a loss.  Should I try anti-nausea meds?  It just seems pretty late for that.

So could someone please tell me about when this starts to dissapate.  Am I looking at another 3 months like this?  Or is this a forever thing?

I know you said calling your surgeon isn't the best option - but it truly is. :/

I've got to go about finding a new one then.  And on military insurance that's well impossible.  I won't let that man touch me.

What type of tricare do you have? I'd switch surgeons for follow-up care if it's necessary. You shouldn't have trouble with them changing.

He's a military doc and tricare doesn't cover the sleeve so it gets tricky.  I actually have to change out of tricare completely to get a new surgeon, I am going to switch to the Johns Hopkins plan but I can't do it for another month because I have to wait for something else to finish first.  So really I'm without a surgeon right now.

Personally I wouldn't wait a month.  Is the ER an option for you?

They'll just tell me to see my surgeon!  I don't think it's a leak or anything, because normal food causes very little issues, I have restriction of course, it's purely a liquid issue.  I'm here sipping on my warm tea and fine, but if I was to drink cold water, woe would be me.

Really? I have Tricare and they covered mine. Your PCM should be able to help you are refer you to someone who can. Praying that you are able to get help and that your nauseousness gets better.

Did you go to military facility or a civilian?

Early out, I had problems with nausea and used Zofran Sub-lingual before eating. It does come in generic formulation and it was helpful. Ask your PCP to prescribe it. Liquids were difficult for me in the beginning and I had to sip very slowly. Water was the worse. Have you tried any flavorings to add to it, such as Mio or something similar? You could try using the anti-nausea med after your workout and before drinking fluids, to see if this would help. I had problems for the about 10-12 weeks.
