Numbness in Legs

 Ok, so I came home from a run on Thurs. jumped in the shower and went to shave my legs and realized that the inside of both my legs the skin is numb.  Just the skin, I can feel pressure but the surface is numb.  It's a holiday weekend and in no way do I think this is an emergency so I am going to the doc next week but I wondered;  Could this be as simple as a pinched nerve somewhere or is numbness a sign of a vitamin deficiency at all?  I don't want to google cuz that'll just scare me.  I realize this probably has nothing to do with surgery but I just wanted to know if anyone had heard of or seen anything like it.

Potassium and b12 sometimes causes numbness in the legs, as well as slight dehydration. Could ******ve issue as well. Have a full panel of labs pulled and go from there. I had the tingling(pins and needles feeling) along with numbness on the outside of my just my left thigh preop, it resolved with weight loss, but came back randomly with sleep position changes. It was definitely nerve issues for me, and it comes back in pregnancy as expected.

It can be a sign of B12 deficiency and sometimes iron.  Other causes can be hypothyroidism or hyperventilation.  I had this at 6 months out, and it resolved when I started taking my supplements the way I should. 

Did you ever find out what the numbness was caused from? and did it ever go away? I am asking because this week the same thing happen to me and i found out the exact same way. I was shaving and it fet so strange. anhyhow the numbness is also skin ony, and is both legs toward inside of both legs from mid thigh to ankle on the left leg and on right mid calf area. I caled my dr earier and al he said was clam down and relax and take it easy? he said it shoudl go away didnt say what it could be just that if i get pain call in and go into his office.
