NEED SOME FEED BACK, PLEASE!!
I will try to make this short but it will be hard.Since Dec of last year I have both eyes cataracts removed, foot surgery, brow lift plus lower lids, so that is 4 times being put to sleep, which I feel has taken a tole on my body, plus WLS a year ago this past April 20th lost about 86 lbs. I have another foot surgery due in Oct and also a face lift and upper eye lid all this Oct. Ok, the surgeons office called me today wanting to sit up a date June 25th, be belt, tummy tuck with muscle tightened and thigh surgery, loose skin. First is this to much surgery so close together? Also can anyone tell me how soon I can go on a trip after tummy tuck?
I have a lot of events this summer, Daughter getting married this Sept, lives in MI, grandson turning 13 in Sept lives in Ga. Needing to work to help pay for this surgery. I want to be out side in the fresh air before winter. I live in WV. This is why I had my other surgery set for Oct. Would I be able to have the T.T. and be able to do all these things this summer? My daughter has not set the final date yet. What would also hurt me would be missing work, which I am a care taker and my little lady is understanding, she is 91 years old and does a lot of personal stuff for her self. I would have my job waiting on me, we have couple other ladies to help.
Has anyone had Medicare pay for this type of surgery. My family Dr. wants me to get this done, because of the the pain the loose skin is causing me. Medicare said if it was medical Necessity. then they would pay. My husband's ins will pay on what Medicare will pay, if Medicare does not pay then they do not pay. I know this is alot of things to write about, but I really need some feed back .
Thank you All.
God Bless
Evie
How long you would be laid up and away from your job probably depends on if you have to do any heavy lifting for her. If not you could probably go back sooner rather than later.
I'm not sure what medicare covers but quite often they only pay for pannilectomies rather than a full TT. The panni removes the excess skin but doesn't tighten the muscles. Most often a TT is considered cosmetic and not covered by insurance. However the panni is usually covered. Hope someone else will have more and better info for you, good luck!
