It's true LOL. Never getting stuck, the ability to eat meat that isn't slathered in some sort of gravy, sauce, condiment is pretty awesome. Hell, lettuce wraps are heaven in my mouth.

I'm having my band removed and getting sleeved on June 27th. I appreciate this conversation, but am also wondering if you feel hungry? I've lost weight with my band, but I've never had a reduction in the feeling of being hungry. Just curious.

I haven't felt true physical hunger since I was 6 weeks post-op with VSG. I went on Prilosec because I was having false hunger from overproduction of acid.

The only time I"ve felt real hunger in the last 3 years is during the last trimester of my  pregnancy last year. Hunger has not returned with this pregnancy to date, but I am sure it will in the coming weeks.

Ihave felt hungry but nothing like band hunger for me. Post-op for the band was miserable because i was sooooooooo hungry. With the sleeve i havent had terrible hunger and no tummy rumblings. Very manageable for me after the first week. The first week for me was tough mentally/physically but nothunger wise.

Your full signal will show up if you "listen" for it.  I can't exactly describe mine.  It is a full feeling and usually just after I notice it I have a little burp of air.  Eating past that does not feel good.

Burping was not such a reliable indicator early out.  I seemed to have some air on my tummy all the time at first.

I'm in a seriously tricky place sleeve wise right now.  We had to move back into a very messed up house.  I have no kitchen at all - no pantry, no dishes, no refrigerator, no ho****er to wash dishes.  And it will be at least 5 weeks before I do have a kitchen.  Eating out pretty much every meal is tough.

We should at least have a fridge sometime this week.  I hope.

You didn't have any nerves cut when you got a band.  Things are still healing and will be for some time.

When you start eating denser foods...you WILL feel it.
