Congratulations!! I am so happy to hear you are doing so good! This surgery can change lives and your story is the proof in the pudding. 18 inches lost in your waist? Now THAT'S awesome :-)

OH NO -- I accidentally deleted my previous post.  Oh well -- at least I figured it out.  Again though -- Congrats to Terry.

Just wanted to say thank you for your post. I will be having vsg in July, and right now, I am so worn out.  Tired all the time. Your post gives me hope that i can lead a more productive and energy filled life.

So a major choice of conflict between my wife and me was that I would be restless and she likes to sleep in more and relax.  The difference before and after is that before I would do nothing but stew while I was waiting for her to get ready to do things.  Now I actually have the energy to do things and I do them instead of blaming her for slowing me down (she wasn't).  So it has removed a tension point between us.  More energy and less pain together translate to real life improvement.  It is weird that as I get more control and don't fall back on food as my sole way of coping I find that I have a better relationship with my wife because it takes away my ability and desire to blame her as an external factor.  Not to mention that just knowing I can do things is a calming and empowering feeling.  I wish I had done this earlier in my life.  If VSG had been available for longer perhaps I would have.
