Frustrated at 7 weeks post-op.
At 7 weeks post-op today I am completely frustrated. The weight was coming off so fast during my two week pre-op diet and the first two weeks after surgery that I guess I got spoiled. Since then Ive had MAJOR stalling with no loss!!! I eat right and exersize so I can't seem to figure out what I'm doing wrong or what I can do start losing again. I'm feeling like a failure with only a 35 lbs lost since beginning the pre-op. I think I am going to go back to 3 protein shakes a day starting tomorrow.

Sure. I average about 7-800 calories per day. Usually I have a Protien shake for breakfast, Protien n veggies for lunch and the same for dinner. As for exersize I walk the treadmill (upbeat pace) for an hour 3 or 4 times per week.
What are you doing to continuously lose in large numbers? Do tell.....I'm desperate!

hi abetterme424! congrats on your loss - 35lbs in less than 2 months! that's awesome! that's roughly 5 pounds a week if you averaged it out. please don't be discouraged - our bodies have to take a break from losing weight to adjust to the quick loss. everyone experiences this at different times. be encouraged - if you keep working your plan it will kick in again and the scale will start moving. i take my measurements once a week - so when the scale isn't moving i can compare my inches lost. without fail - i'm always losing - either pounds or inches.
no need to do anything drastic like going on a liquid/shake diet - you want to keep progressing in your plan so you can start receiving more nutrients through your diet. just make sure you take an honest assessment of your food intake and exercise - if you're working your plan it's going to be okay. there's no way you can decrease your caloric intake to 600 - 800 a day and exercise consistently and not lose.
if you haven't already joined - consider www.myfitnesspal.com. it's a great tool for tracking your food, exercise, weight loss and measurements. most foods are already programmed in their database - but you can create our own meals and add the label info as well.
remember - this is a normal part of the rapid weight loss - losing process. when it occurs just use it as an opportunity to assess, adjust and keep it moving. you're gonna get there - i promise!

When was the last time on your own that you lost 5 lbs a week for 7 weeks straight? I'm guessing it never happened. It's a journey not a sprint! Take your time, make sure you are making good decisions, then let it go! The scale will move, you stressing won't change it.
