Blood sugar issue post VSG - sorry it is long.

Yeah, I have learned that I need some carbs...I was keeping it under 40, but I have had a few days that have been over and I still lose weight and feel better. My NUT said I should probably stop being so strict with it...and be more generally balanced. That is a challenge though...learning the balance part of things and not living with an "all or nothing" type mentality. It's like the pendulum has swung to the other side and now I'm trying to find the right balance.
I was having issues with this in the beginning as well. For the first few months I tried hard to keep things under 40 carbs, but eventually gave up on that. Once i started eating carbs the whole hypogycimic thing went away. No more "not able to get out of the bed" morning syndrome. My eating plan is now monitoring calories, always getting in the protein, and not so worried about the carbs. My losing has been very consistent thus far, and I felt better after adding back in carbs.

I really appreciate your response. It is wonderful to hear from someone who has had this issue - and had it resolved with great weightloss success! Thank you! If you don't mind, do you know how many calories you do eat and approximately how many carbs? Just curious. Thank you!
