Sorry if this is TMI.

I was sleeved on Monday.   I haven't had a bowel movement since the day before.  Is this normal?  I guess there's nothing to pass since I'm on liquids onlyl, but it just seems odd.  I'm a regular kind of gal normally.

I used to be regular too... those days are over. My first week was like that and then the second week I had diarrhea for several days. Because of all the meat and cheese you will be eating soon, you will have to start using benefiber or some type of laxative to help you out but be ready for diarrhea during this next week! Good luck

yes this is normal it happened to me with all three surgeries I've had in my life.  A stool softener isn't a bad idea.  Most importantly stay hydrated, you don't want to end up with an impacted bowel.

I had surgery on 6/4 and didn't have a BM until this past Wednesday.  I had to take Milk of Magnesia and did so after talking to my Doctor.  I didn't want to take a chance on a blockage.  Of course after doing that on Wednesday I haven't had another one.  Next week I start pureed so maybe a little refried beans will get this stimulated.
