Effective Electronic Communication
I have gotten lots of good advice in my day, but one of the most important was not commit anything in writing that you wouldn't want to send to your mother, or see published in the New York Times. Followed by don't give bad news to people in writing, and electronic communications never die, they just lie moldering about until somebody needs to nail you on something.
Of course, I keep forgetting the part about keeping it brief!
