All the medical claims.....
One of my first questions when I was preparing for the surgery I wanted to know, how much does it all cost?? With my employer I have the Aetna HealthFund. After I looked up all the claims and did the calculations, it really hasn't been too bad. Just thought I would share what the totals were.
Cost of surgery alone which went to the Surgeon was $27,270, total cost to include anesthesia and all the extra little things that hospitals charge it came to a grand total of $32,857.46 but my total pocket out of pocket so far is $1,994.93 and that includes $1,059.93 to medical claims, $660 for the program fee that was not covered and $275 for the Psychologist visit.
I've got to say so far it has been the best $2,000 I have ever spent!
