What losing 32 pounds has done for me
I am just starting and I have only lost 32 pounds since my surgery but those lost pounds have translated in doing the following
Fit on a size 14 jeans
Walking a little prouder
Going up a the stairs without stopping to catch my breathe
But the must amazing thing I am learning is that I don't have to let food control my life.
If you are thinking of having this life changing surgery do it. As many have said here the beginning is not easy but the pay off is amazing. I am just excited to see what else is there for me.
I cannot wait for the other changes coming in my new life.

That's amazing! Good Job!!! I'm just waiting for the second insurance approval for sleeve surgery and then I will have a date, I have been approaching this since March and I'm getting so impatient, I'm excited to get on the losers bench! I should have a surgery date sometime next week...thanks for the words of encourgement....i love reading all the post here and getting more and more educated about pre and post op info....its nice to read and see positive results....keep up the good work! :)
Thank you SOOOOOOOOOOOOO much for this post. My surgery is on Monday morning and I am scareddddd! Nervous is more like it. I am also irritable because of the liquid diet and lashing out at people. It is amazing how much food controls my life. So lookng forward to the new found freedom after the sleeve. Thanks and Congrats!
Congratulations! I am telling you being scared is very normal. Mine only advice is walk, sip, walk some more. FOLLOW your doctor's instructions to the T. The first couple of days are the hardest but it does get better fast.
Remembered the sleeve is a tool that you must use to help you get to your goal but you must follow the doctor's instructions for it to work.
Keep me posted.
