This is really exciting news!  I have been waiting and expected to wait 2 more years!  I would really like to go to the link you posted, but I can't seem to cut and paste it for some reason.  Is there another way I could get to the site?  Thanks so much for posting this!!

Try and google vertical sleeve gastronomy and CMS, you might be able to find it that way.

Once Medicare approved the DS a number of years ago, that dashed all of the excused that the insurance companies had by calling it "investigational" and "experimental", and they were obliged to start covering it the same as they did for the RNY and bands. Now they no longer have any excuses for not covering the sleeve in the same manner as they cover other WLS.

I previously asked for another link as I could not find it.  But I did find it, and printed out the first page to show to my doctor.  The only question I  have is, it says :

"Medicare Administrative Contractors acting within their respective jurisdictions may determine coverage of stand-alone laparascoptic sleeve gastrectomy......"

I wonder what "respective jurisdictions" means.

Don't want to be a downer, just trying to be realistic, I had my hopes dashed once before.  Maybe others on this board have more information,.
