I agree with the start small comments. Start small, your body will gradually want more. I started just walking around the cul de sac(sp?) a twice a day. Eventually, i just kept going.

Motivation? Get a reliable friend or 2 or 3 or 10 to go with you at a set time and place. Thus obligating yourself to be there.

I formed a walking group 3 times a week. Sometimes people are there sometimes no one shows. But I feel i'm obligated to be there just in case.

Now I go just about everyday and I don't care if anyone shows u*****t.

 I felt the same way and even posted a whiny post about it! Getting back into exercising was really difficult for me as I used to teach Nia and Zumba a few years ago and felt like I had fallen apart. Knowing this, my husband bought me a 360 and kinect for mothers day and I started Zumba rush and have been hooked ever since.  
If it gets challenging, Just remember that those difficult,  "I can't finish this" or "ill never be able to kick that  high" type of challenging experiences form our later vsg victories that allow us to see our tremendous progress. Enjoy the process and I hope you find what you love.
