It is almost like you are reading my mind today! Other than the dating aspect, everything going through your head is going through mine right now and I still have 5 days left before I go under the knife. I pray for a wonderful, successful surgery and for quick healing.

We are going to do this! We are doing the best thing we could ever do for ourselves! Good luck fellow VSG friend!

I had mine Monday and it hasn't been as bad as I thought. What saved me was an awesome nurse *****commended I try sleeping in the reclining chair instead of the bed because I couldn't get comfortable in the bed and it was so much better. I slept there last night too. And walk as much as you can, even if it's uncomfortable at first. It will make things so much easier. I wont lie, I cried a good bit Sun and some Monday morning but no regrets so far and I just got home this morning.

Thanks! I hope that there is a recliner in my room.

Best wishes to you!!! I haven't regretted it for one nanosecond...even that first night in the hospital! I knew what I was doing it for, for that healthier, happier life. And I already have it! I'm still 23 lbs away from goal ( I'm still less than 5 months out so I have no doubt I'll make it) but my life is filled with so much more joy. I wake up and walk into my closet with excitement each morning instead of the dread I felt pre-op. I can wear whatever I feel like instead of what hides the fat rolls and keeps me "blending in" vs sticking out. It was a sad life for me pre op but no MORE! :D Let us know how it goes and rest and sip and recover well! Congrats on making this decision to change your life. (hugs)

Thanks! That is exactly what I needed to read right before I go to sleep before the big day!
