MY VSG story- sleeved, a little leak scare but okay

I was sleeved on Thursday morning.  The surgery went well. I do have to admit that the first 24 hours were harder than I thought they would be. The pain wasn't too bad (due to pain meds) but I was so tired from the drugs I felt like was in a daze. The nurses (just doing their jobs of course) kept wanting me to walk and sip and I could barely keep my eyes open. That lasted until the middle of the night on Friday.  Every sip of liquid was hard and felt like I had been hit by a truck.  I was a little nervous to drink anything but I did. It got easier every hour.  I was so thirsty and had such dry mouth. Those discomforts were more of a bother than any pain.
I went for my leak test on Friday morning. They saw a little tiny something and weren't sure what to make of it. So I was told to not drink anything else until they could do a CT scan. I was so thirsty! I focused on not worrying and not  jumping ahead to imagining the worst. I waited for a few hours and then they took me for the scan. They wanted me to drink a lot of the contrast for the scan and I just couldn't. I told them that my doctor had said just a few sips and that I literally couldn't drink the whole cup because I had just had 80 percent of my stomach removed. They didn't seem to be understanding me.  They seemed a little disgusted with me but in the end they must have gotten a good enough scan. My surgeon came and told me there was no leak. My sleeve has a little tiny "Outpouch" where it curves out instead of going in straight line. I was relieved to say the least.
I came home on Saturday morning and I have been sleeping, sipping, walking a little, doing the spirometer, reading a little, and watching a little tv. I am not even slightly hungry.  I still have twinges of pain and have to move carefully.  I've had a couple of sugar free posicles and those have tasted good. I didn't feel like eating more than a teaspoon of sf jello. Mainly I have been drinking water with mio and a little tea. Tomorrow I may try some of the syntrax samples I have. I did open one bottle of isopure and it smelled so bad I couldn't even taste it.
I'm on my way! I did it!

Don't smell the isopure. It smells worst than it taste.  Get some soni**** and pour isopure over it and add mio, crystal light, or propel to it.  I like the grape the best.

That is so great there is no leak!

Just a tip, I made jello with the isopure, much better!  The only way I got it in.

Good luck!
