I was thinking maybe we can have a "work out challege" here.  This is my idea let's challege ourselves to do 25 miles a week.  That's about 3 1/2 miles a day.  WE CAN TOTALLY DO TWO MILES DAY!! You can walk, run, bike, craw, skip whatever you feel like but let's do 25 miles a week.  We can then increase our miles or work out time.

We can post here every day how many miles we did, what exercise did we do, time and the winner get bragging rights.  We can do a week winner or a daily winner.

Then we can increase the miles as we go along.  We can also include the calories we burn.  Just a thought because I like to be push.  LOL

If anybody has a better way to do this, let's hear it suggestions are welcome.    I just want us to get moving.   What do you guys think?  Who's with me?

I'm with you....sort of.  I average about 70 miles a week on the stationary bike right now....but will have to stop for a few weeks, since my surgery is tomorrow.  Not sure I can get back to 25 miles a week right off the bat, but I'll sure give it a shot.

I just went out & found a site that converted miles to steps for those of us wearing pedometers & it would be about 7,604 steps per day or 53,228 per week to reach that.  would that count or are you specifically saying logging just the miles at specific exercise times?

That would totally work.  Whatever way we want to do this.  I just thought we can get ourselves motivated to walk and work out some.  You know to keep ourselve honest and try our best.

I have a pedometer Is the Nike Fuel band and it counts my steps.  I set it up to 10,000 steps a day. (that what my NUT told me to shoot for).

I'm in. Are we counting all steps for the day, or just distance during specific exercise periods?

Revised from band to sleeve on June 6th, 2012. Lost 48 pounds on my own in the 4 months prior to revision.
