Yay! Happy for you. I think Dr. Fedorka is great 
he will put you on check IF he has to, lol, but he means well. I have had a great recovery so far everything has been great! Only thing, ask him about giving you colace, cause he had never mentioned it to me and I totally forgot to ask, I went thru 3 very horrible days of bm issues. Aside from that, it's been smooth sailing. Congrats!

In the hospital, after they took me off the iv, they wanted me to get in all my liquids by drinking them obviously, and they brought me broth and diet snapples and I couldn't tolerate them which is weird because before surgery I loved diet snapples and after Surgery I lost all my hunger and my taste buds changed so the only way I could get anything in was to ask them for water with ice, that's all I wanted. the next day when Dr. fedorka came to check on me, he was asking me how much liquids I was getting in and I guess I was not really making an effort to get in as much as I should have been drinking.and I couldn't give him a straight answer and I was just guessing how much ounces I was drinking when I told him and he straight forward asked me, Are you justing talking out of your ass right now? My hubby and aunt started laughing because they knew I was. Soooo, he sure set me straight lol

In the hospital you have your own room and there is a recliner for your hubby to sleep in if he wants to I sent my hubby home to sleep only because I live 3 minutes away from St. Bs. I didn't get a drain which I was very happy about. Like I stated above, I was only served diet snapples (I thought that was weird, I don't understand why, and broth and iced water which you have to sip out of 1oz measuring cups every 15 minutes, make sure your on top of it cause I obviously wasn't sipping enough. They provide you with deodorant, shampoo,lotion,toothbrush, toothpaste. Oh and you have your own restroom with shower I was blessed with my nurse, she was great That's all I can think of right now. And I did walk the halls after and I know that really helped me alot. Feel free to ask me anything, I would be more than happy to answer. I wish you the best. Gabby Z.
