Thanks John!
I noticed that we both have similar start and goal weights...what was your exercise routine once you were cleared to go all out with working out? Again, thank you! Its great to have people who can relate.

I'm glad to see there is more guy's getting involved on this forum, for a good while it was just a hand full of us, this kinda motivates me to be more involved as well. Well, what I did was start on just cardio until I got to the weight I wanted to be at ( once you start on a weight lifting program you gain muscle mass so I wanted to get my weight loss out of the way and start with a clean slate if you will). When I was down to where I wanted to be I started a pretty rigorous weight lifting program working out 5 times per week on different muscle groups each day ( when you are ready I'll give you my plan if you want) and I put on a little muscle mass but I am still pretty comfortable at almost two years out. I tell you my friend, it's a hell of a ride and I could go on and on talking about training and supplements and so on. After surgery just stick to your plan and get your fluids and vitamins in and you'll be at goal in no time, it's a wild ride, enjoy every minute of it.
Something I always tell people weather is weight loss, work outs, or life in general...
"You got to work if you wanna get PAID" !!!

Hey Larry - congratulations on the journey you're about to begin. Don't forget to sip your fluids and walk... a lot. The gaping gown (in the back) is purely optional. Here's to you and a quick recovery and welcome to the losers bench. BRAVO!

Sending positive thoughts your way for tomorrow. I'm sure you will do great. Remember to sip, walk, rest, repeat. Take tha****er bottle with you everywhere, even the restroom so you can sip all the time. Dehydration is one of the main complications that can be prevented. The 1st month is the toughest but after that it's easy breezy.
Best of luck to you!!

Yo brutha, you're going to get through this unscathed. I concur with the other "sleevers"... You're going to get ready for surgery, enjoy some nice sleep, then wake up a loser............... in a good healthy way.
