I would suggest making your morning snack a protein shake, I love unjury's chicken soup and tell anyone I can get my hands on..and I haven't even had surgery yet. It's 21gms of protein in 8oz. It's so yummy!

I generally eat about 7 times per day.
I do count my two protein shakes as "eating"........ So, it looks like this:

Protein Coffee (shake)
Breakfast
Lunch
Pre work out snack - always greek yogurt and berries!
Post work out shake
Dinner
Snack

I usually keep it at 90 to 100 grms protein per day and 800 calories. Carbs usually work out to about 25 to 30.

My doctor says no snacks and even though I do get my protein in everyday, sometimes it's kinda hard!!

I don't do "snacks." I do 5-6 small meals a day, with at least 15 grams of protein and aim for less than 150 calories per meal, except for my first meal, which is always a premier shake at 160 cals and 30 grams protein. I come in at about 750 calories and about 90-100 grams of protein 99% of the time.

I get in  5- 6 on heavy workout days i count my protein drinks, as meals. adding Greek yogurt to my shakes have helped to increase my protein. I'm averaging 80-90g.

I originally did six meal/snacks a day but dropped it to five after a couple of months as breakfast and lunch were close enough together and I didn't need the extra snack to get in the requisite protein. Now I'm back to six a day to get in enough calories (2000, give or take) to be stable.
