 mine was done under twilight sedation( had a colonoscopy at the same time) so I can't help. I guess a pro would be they could see my hiatal hernia and inflamed stomach(acid)also I was out of it for it.Cons..thoart was sore nothing else besides the prep for the colonoscopy

 Hey! I just had my endoscopy yesterday! It was not as bad as I thought! AT ALL! I went in at 8am and I went and changed and the nurse asked me tons of questions and recieved an IV at 9:30 and then they wheeled me into the "room" at 9:45 and they sedated me and had me swallow numbing stuff. and then they gave me anesthesia and thats the last thing I remember and then next thing I knew I was with my husband in the recovery room at 10:20! It was quick and easy and  my husband taped me coming too and I guess the nurses and everyone had a kick out of my singing and laughing, I don't remember a thing! Not at all bad! Don't be nervous!!! Piece of cake!!!

Ty Comeundone, I wondered if it was an all the way under thing or just a lil.

 my doctor does both I chose twilight (i did not want  A  colonoscopy awake!) so I had to wait two weeks longer for mine.

 I don't wanna know anything but the results so whatever's necessary I'm ready LOL
