I think I got blocked by Elina

At times being an oblivious airhead has it's advantages.
I miss a lot of posts that are talked about.

I just realized that I was blocked by someone who, if I get the gist of it, posted something mean about some of the vets. Apparently when your blocked you dont see their posts?, that's why I didn't see the post or have a clue what was going on. LOL

I have absolutely no idea why anyone would block me. I've never intentionally been rude or opinionated. But for whatever reason I am blocked. Cant even recall posting to that person. So I just blocked her back. Which in retrospect was probably pretty adolescent behavior on my part. Someday I'm gonna grow up.

I'm sure Elina with revisit the block if that's the case. Be patient. Sometimes people have reasons for stuff that we just don't get. No help for it. Ride it out.

In the meanwhile, stick to your plan and focus on the priorities. Everything will work itself out.

 I got blocked by one of the vets, one everyone fawns over, I guess I didn't show enough defference.  Anyway I'm annoyed because sometimes I'd like to see their posts but at the end of the day, it's the internet, there will always be someone else.

I love your post.  Wonder if I'm blocked by anyone.  I never even thought of blocking anyone.  I just scroll pass anything I don't care to read.  The whole blocking thing seems adolescent to me...unless some body is stalking you.

I've been blocked by a couple of people. I personally have never blocked anyone in all my time here and the other forums even though some people warrant it.

One thing I have learned, is being blocked is NOT necessarily a negative. I can not comment or even speculate what has warranted the block by Elina. I know she and few others block people because they do not want to hurt the blockee's feelings with their replies and it keeps them from getting jumped on and being pegged as "mean-spirited, know it all  vets". However, if you were block by mistake, she might revisit it.

 I was blocked too, but I deserved it.  At anyrate, you can always view the boards as a guest to see all of the posts.  I totally believe you about the hacking situation- I had a post a while back pull up under my name that I didn't write- but it was not inflammatory in any way so no harm no foul. 

How can you see that someone has blocked you? I blocked one person because of her immature comments but have no idea how to tell if I have been blocked by someone??? Yes... I am a computer idiot!!

. You just notice that you don't see their posts or comments anymore. Well actually, if you go on oh as a guest and put their name in and see them there but not when you log in to oh, I guess you can tell that way. I never thought of that before, lol.

I don't know if I've ever been blocked by anyone or not, and I could not care less.  I wouldn't sweat it one little bit.  The world will go on, and I don't mean that negatively against you at all.  Don't worry about it for one single second!  There is something mean-spirited about this incident, and you don't need any body with that kind of attitude whatsoever.

 I have no idea what happened here but let me share this:

once, I noticed I was blocked on an off-topic forum where I was a regular. you see the avatar of the last person to post on a thread, but when you click on the thread that post/poster isn't there...what the..

so I asked, why did she block me? well, there had been some issue which I've now forgotten but she unblocked me and - in time - we have gone on to meet more than once in person and we really like each other.

my favorite thing about OH is the wonderful people I've gotten to know, especially those I have met in person.

point is: usually it is "just the internet" but it can be more. so it's OK to care about these things. 

I've been blocked by a few people, two of which (that I know of) are two of the vets that everyone seems to worship around here. Elina has not blocked me, but at least one of the two vets that has is a friend of hers.

Honestly, usually when someone blocks me, I have no idea and if I find out, I don't know why they did. In two of the cases (one of the vets and a newbie), I do know why, and I don't regret anything I did to provoke the blocks. In the case of the other vet, I have no idea why she blocked me, but from what I have heard she loves to block people for no detectable reason. That's fine. If I don't meet her standards of coolness, then I don't care what she has to say anyways.

It does slightly bother me when someone blocks me and I don't know why, but at the end of the day it really is no skin off my back. Maybe Elina will see your post and come around, but if not, just remember you have plenty of friends here who love you and are here when you need us
