Von Willebrands - blood disorder

Hi everyone!

I'm in Pre-op stage. Has anyone here had VSG and also have Von Willebrands? I have a mild case (blood clotting issues).

I have an appt with my Hematologist in a few weeks as I get the ball rolling on the WLS process. I'm going to get his input on this surgery.

Just curious if anyone here has had the same experience.

I  actually  have it too and also  very  mild.  It  really  only seems to  make  my  periods heavier and s bit  of  hemorrhagin when I  give  birth.  I had 2   surgeries  before anyone  knew i  had it and  because it  was mild it  wasn't a  big  deal.  After  they  knew I  had it,  I  had  surgery and  they just  gave me a   little bag of DDAVPT(?)  in my  IV an  it  helps  your  blood to  clot a  bit better.  You'll be  fine.  Often the Hematopathologist  will do a  trial run of the DDAvPT  just to  see  how it  works  for you.
