forgot my 10 month surgiversary
i guess that's what happens when you're having fun! realized that yesterday was 10 months since i changed my life. i'm down 109 pounds since my pre op diet and feeling pretty good about myself. i went from a size 24/26 to a (drum roll please....) size 12 dress pants and size 14 jeans from old navy. i can't believe i'm living this life. i feel confident and attractive. i'm off all of my antidepressants/anxiety meds since surgery, and just had bloodwork to look at fertility hormones (had years of infertility prior to surgery) and the levels are looking much better than they were. aiming to run a 5k (currently run/walking it) pretty soon and want to go further. have dreams of doing a half marathon in disney.
i owe so much to my husband who has supported me through 13 years of trying to lose weight and feeling sorry for myself. he's never known me at this weight and i hope he's proud of me too. i'm proud of myself!
to all the pre-ops: hang in there. take it day by day and you'll be amazed at where you end up. wish i would have done this years ago.
